Online pharmacy launches pay later feature

An online medicine ordering platform, myMedicines, said it had introduced a “buy now, pay later” feature for its thousands of users.
A statement from Advantage Health Africa explained that myMedicines aims to ensure access and affordability to quality healthcare for all Africans.
He added that by partnering with healthcare finance company, Arteri, myMedicines now allows users to purchase medicines from its website and spread payment over a specified period without any interest.
Commenting on the new feature, myMedicines Founder, Abimbola Adebakin said, “We are delighted to announce this new offering on myMedicines. A core part of our drive at Advantage Health Africa is to ensure access and affordability of quality healthcare for all Africans. However, our economic realities in this part of the world can sometimes make quality medicines unaffordable since many people pay out of pocket. Now it’s solved. The launch of this BNPL provides the average person with flexible and convenient payment options and better access to quality medicines when they need them.
Also speaking on the partnership, Arteri CEO Temitope Isedowo said, “This partnership is in line with our promise of easy access to healthcare financing for individuals and providers. While traditional lenders are turning away from the healthcare industry due to well-known challenges, our new industry credit system is addressing those challenges and bringing quality healthcare closer to everyone. Partnering with the largest online pharmacy to launch this is a great step forward for our ecosystem. MyMedicines is an online medicine ordering platform that enables Nigerians to access quality medicines at their convenience. With the myMedicines website, users can order medications and have them delivered to a location of their choice, nationwide.
