Residents who participated in the shopping extravaganza said that after a difficult year amid the pandemic, a retail therapy weekend had come in handy. Sharri Sharma, Dubai resident and housewife, said: “Since the pandemic, we have been doing a lot of our shopping online. However, it felt good to go out this weekend and do some shopping in the store. “

Another expat, Mary Brewer, said: “Dubai has always been an amazing shopping destination. The offers have been great. My husband and I continued to shop online. We didn’t want to risk going to busy malls.
